February 7, 2009. The entire spring and mounting mechanism on this Right Hand Side Egg Beater simply broke off on this rider during a Saturday afternoon jaunt on technical singletrack. He had to walk his bike 3 miles out of the woods and another three miles home. Crank Brothers warranties the Egg Beaters for two years, so it looks like he'll just be buying a new pair. Although the missing mechanism is apparently replaceable, not sure how much Crank Brothers charges for the replacement part.
