Yeti 575 Buildout

Step 15: Putting the Shifters OnSRAM X.9's. Come with cables already attached to the lever housing. Have your cable housing handy and your Park Tool cable cutter and crimper along with endcaps. On the Yeti frame, your front cable is going to run bare along the bottom-side of the downtube and be the farthest cable routing to the right (when sitting on the bike). We are using a Top Swing/Bottom Pull Front Derailleur. The cable routes underneath the bottom bracket case and fits thru a plastic groove already attached to the frame. There are actually two grooves to choose from on the plastic face plate which Yeti attaches to the bottom of the frame for this purpose. I used the one to the far right (again from the perspective of a rider sitting on the bike). The rear cable is pretty straightforward, but as with any full suspension bike, leave plenty of slack in the rear cable as it crosses freely beneath the bottom bracket case to allow for movement of the rear triangle. You want enough slack to keep the cable from pulling when the rear moves, but not so much that trail debris or roots can catch on it.
